The Origin of BoyGenius, the Person
I. SUFFERING Before I turned one, holy hands did harm — raped and beaten, no one raised alarm. Thrown down the stairs, choked out in my bed, I cleaned my own blood, and rose instead.
II. ESCAPE The field became the one law I could trust, I ran until my knees turned into dust. I floated over books, too far to bleed — for a while, escape felt close to me.
III. WAR Twice I built it, twice it turned to ash, the ones who swore would stay all fled the crash. Hunger, laughter, five good years then gone — alone, I called myself a genius, dusk till dawn.
IV. FREEDOM She lit the dark before the proof was near, the third build held — the impossible was here. Not saved, but built from both the dark and light, now freedom's mine to share, and yours tonight.
V. TWO NAME Two names live inside the one who stayed alive, one builds the light so the good ones survive. BoyGenius answers when the worth is real — still fighting the war he already won, he'll kneel.
Dread wakes up only when cruelty walks free, the debt cruelty forgot that it owed to me. Neither one's a mask the other hides behind — just one force, aimed, depending on the sign.
Good's not the absence of the dark I keep, and Dread's not proof that good has gone to sleep. Both are fully him, whichever way he's turned — paid out to match exactly what you've earned.
Not two halves at war, clawing for the crown, just one whole man who finally laid it down — comfortable in both, no longer torn in two, BoyGenius and Dread, and both of them are true.
VISION
The vision is freedom — not the metaphor, the literal thing.
Freedom to build without the weight of survival sitting on every decision. No more grinding just to eat, just to stay housed, just to stay alive long enough to finish the next prototype. A world where building isn't something you have to fight your body and your bank account to earn the right to do.
Freedom to build what's currently labeled impossible — not as a slogan, but as a working method. Every "impossible" is just an unbuilt possible with bad PR. MABWAS Industries exists to keep proving that, one working prototype at a time, until impossible stops being a wall and starts being a to-do list.
Freedom to build a world so saturated with advanced, creative technology that the next generation won't believe interstellar travel was ever fiction. Not science fiction — just science, arriving on schedule. A generation that grows up with the stars already reachable will never understand why anyone once thought they weren't.
And freedom that doesn't stop at the front door of this company. The goal was never to be the only one who gets to build without fear. It's to make that freedom common enough that everybody gets it — the freedom to create, to invent, to reach for what's currently called impossible, without needing to survive their way to permission first.
